Hi guys, we get a lot of questions. Which maybe we should expect, given that our own company name is in fact, a question.
- Q: Where do Thuggies ship out of? A: Vancouver, BC, Canada. So your shipping time will vary based on where you live.
- Q: What sizes are Thuggies? A: This one is a bit tricky because some people might want to have super long Thuggies, some people might want them more wearable in public. We don’t judge where you wear them, of course but here is a general sizing chart:
- Q: What are your products made out of? A: Our products are made of 100%, locally sourced heavy cotton.
- Q: What are Thugglet/tes and Chuggies for? A: Thugglet/tes are made for babies. They are adorable and easier to change in and out of than pants, unitards etc. Your kids will thank you. Chuggies are made for your beverage. They keep them cool and if you pull the hood over, not only are they just delightful looking, but they keep dirt, bugs and sand out of your drink.
- Q: Fine, then what is the Thuggie for? A: What isn’t it for? But seriously. It’s for whatever you want it to be. We made it for lounging at home or at the cabin, but it’s also great for camping, boating, pre and apres surfing, after a shower, rowing, staying warm while warming up the bench, corporate branding…the list goes on. It is made to be worn however the wearer sees fit. And the beauty is, it always fits.
- Q: Is it machine washable? A: Yes. If you want it to stay the same length then we recommend washing and drying them at warm, not hot temperatures. If you want to shrink it, wash it with hot water and dry it at a high setting. If you are worried about colours running if you purchased a very bright one, we recommend wash it in cold water and dry it on low.
- Q: How warm is it? A: This is hard to answer. How warm are you? Are you hot blooded, or on the cold blooded side? It is as warm as most thick hoodies, but it is longer so your thighs are also protected from the bitter cold. It’s too hot to sleep in for most people, but just right for lounging and life.
- Q: Why are there only some colours available when I click to purchase? A: We do small, one time runs of any colour way. Certain sizes and colours are going to sell out more than others, so if you see one you want, get it! We can’t guarantee we’ll re-make certain versions as it depends on the colours of fabric we have available.
- Q: I love you guys, can you sponsor me? A: Thanks, and most likely no. We have limited supplies due to demand, so we don’t have a ton of extras running around. If you would like to submit a brief bio, pictures and videos we are happy to keep you on file and we always love hearing from fans.
- Q: Can I actually ski/snowboard in a Thuggie? A: Your call! We have tons of people who do, but others who just use them for lounging around or as portable change rooms or after surfing/boating warm up gear.
- Q: Why don’t you have every possible colour? A: We are limited based on fabric. We get our fabric in North America and manufacture everything locally, here in Vancouver, BC.
- Q: Can I buy Thuggies in stores? A: Not yet but we’ll let you know if that changes. Right now online makes the most sense to us. If you are a retailer and would like to carry us, let us know.
- Q: Are you trying to make a mockery of fashion and also Canadians? A: No. If you think we seriously think we’re high fashion then you should not be on this website. And Canadians like comfort and humour and we are Canadians. So we’re basically patriotically offering comfort without taking ourselves seriously.
- Q: When do orders ship once I make a purchase? A: Orders ship out every Wednesday.
- Q: How long will shipping take? Depends entirely on where you live. We ship Wednesday but when it arrives depends on the postal service.
