An ode to comfort

When getting dressed this morning,

Something puzzled me.

Why is it that comfort,

Isn’t mandatory?

You aren’t supposed to go out

If not wearing pants.

Yet comfort is forgotten,

And scarcely stands a chance.

It seems to me that comfort,

Should sit atop the chain,

Of things you need to focus on

When living life of gain.

So today I have decided

That not once more shall I

Put propriety over comfort

From this day till I die.
